Reading the numbers on a game tile
Every tile in this catalogue shows a provider and an RTP figure, and every detail page adds volatility, max win and payline structure. Those four numbers describe a game more accurately than any amount of marketing copy, so it is worth knowing what each one actually means.
- RTP — theoretical return across millions of rounds. Useful for comparison, useless for prediction.
- Volatility — how returns are distributed. High volatility means rarer, larger wins and longer dry runs.
- Max win — the ceiling, expressed as a multiple of your stake. It shapes the maths model, but it is reached very rarely.
- Lines / ways — how a winning combination is formed. More ways does not mean better odds; the paytable is adjusted to compensate.
